On November 10, 1930, a wonder occurred, Beatrice Palmer Nelson was born. The miracle of life continued for 91 years. She was born to Lula Rozell Lee and John Palmer of Edwards, Mississippi. She transitioned to her heavenly home, Saturday, June 11, 2022, at 11:45 p.m. at Shady Lawn Nursing Home in Vicksburg, Mississippi.

Beatrice received her formal education from the Southern Christian Institute in Edwards, Mississippi. She confessed Christ at an early age at Mount Pleasant under the leadership of Reverend Almon Nelson. She served faithfully until her health failed. Beatrice had a variety of jobs, including, entrepreneur, caretaker, and in later years, a homemaker. Beatrice had an immense love for cooking and enjoyed spending quality time with her children, family and friends. She was united in holy matrimony to Eddie Nelson.

Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Nelson; mother, Lula Lee; father, John Palmer; grandmother, Ollie Rozell; brothers, Jasper Lee and Willie Rozell; sister, Mattie Jones; children, Wanda Hopkins, Jimmy Nelson and Russell Nelson; and grandsons, Kerry Walker and Anthony Moore.

She leaves to uphold and cherish her legacy: seven sons, Earnest (Mozella) Palmer, Robert  Palmer, Bobby (Evelyn) Palmer, Eddie (Eva) Palmer, Charles (Netta) Rozell, Willie (Yolanda)  Palmer and Ronnie Palmer; four daughters, Dorothy Pittman, Alma Walker, Diane Kyles and  Trina Nelson; four brothers, Promise (Linda) Lee, Chester (Deloris) Lee, James Lee and  Aaron (Frances) Lee; twenty-seven grandchildren; forty-six great-grandchildren; fourteen  great-great grandchildren; special friends, Lois Flag and Mary Moss; and a host of nieces,  nephews, cousins, family and friends.
