Bobbette Gordon Scott was born on July 9, 1957, in Edwards, Mississippi to the late Andrew Gordon and Bobbie Gordon. She was also preceded in death by her husband Leroy Scott, brother Reginald Gordon and sister Brenda Gordon. She professed her belief in Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church.

Bobbette received her formal Education from Edwards Attendance Center, Hinds Agricultural High School (Class of 1975), and Utica Junior College. She worked diligently as an EMT and a dispatcher at American Medical Response for 28 years.

She leaves to cherish her memories: two children, Nickelous Scott of Edwards, Mississippi and LaToya (Kelvin) McGraw of Dallas, Georgia; four grandchildren, Kyira McGraw, Kelvin McGraw, Jaquez McGee, and Elijah McKnight; four sisters, Loria (Charles) Grover, Dretreich (Lawrence) Dotson, Sharon (Melvin) Hardge and Dolores (Anthony) Warden; one brother, Wayne (Mary) Gordon, Sr.; nieces and nephews, Keith
(Bridgette) Gordon, Kadarious Miller, Kaleb Gordon, Khloe Gordon, Kendrick Gordon, Kennedy Gordon, Wayne Gordon, Jr., Jamaal Gordon, Lawrence Dotson, Jr., Lauren Dotson, Cadretreich Dotson and Nevaeh Hayes; two aunts, Nancy Collins and Seabell Kilpatrick; other relatives and friends.
