Mr. Christian Avery McPhearson, Sr.

Christian Avery McPhearson, Sr. was born on April 30, 1971, to the late Golie B. McPhearson, Sr. and James Ester McPhearson. Christian Avery McPhearson, Sr. accepted Christ at an early age and united with Cherry Grove M. B. Church, where he attended until his health failed.

Christian Avery McPhearson united in Holy Matrimony to Sharon Dupree on February 14, 2001. He attended Edwars Attendance Center, Hinds Agricultural High School, and Hinds Community College where he received his Air Conditioning and Refrigeration certification. During his younger years, he played little league baseball as a pitcher for many years with Edwards, Pirates, coached by Louis Johnson. He began employment with Ameristar Casino in 1991 to present as a floor manager.

On Sunday, December 24, 2023, at 9:50 a.m., at his home in Edwards, Mississippi, with his loving wife by his side. God reached down into his garden to pluck one of his flowers.

In addition to his mother and father, one sibling, Jeraldine McKenzie, and one grandchild, Ty'Leiyah Mcphearson preceded him in death.

Christian Avery McPhearson, Sr. leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted and loving wife, Sharon Dupree McPhearson of Edwards, Mississippi: five children, Satroia (Melanie) McPhearson of Clinton, Mississippi, Ja'Marcus Wilson of Bryam, Mississippi, Ta'Shayna Dupree, Tan'Tanesia (Tyler) Michols, and Christian McPhearson, Jr., all of Edwards, Mississippi; one brother, Golie (Yolonda)  McPhearson, Jr.  of Byram, Mississippi; seven sisters, Delores Sim Lucket of Dallas, Texas, Elnora McPheason, Lurline McPhearson, Eva (Kenneth) Bracey all of Edwards, Mississippi, Vernetha Caston of Utica, Mississippi and Diane (Willie) Travinof Edwards, Mississippi; two grandchildren, TyJhal Nichols and Tylen Nichols of Edwards, Mississippi; mother-in -law, Barbara ( Lional) Wilson of Edwards, Mississippi; one sister in-law, Tiffany Wilson of Urbana , Illionis one  God mother, Susie Mosley of Edwards, Mississippi; five aunts, Sarah Shields and Betty McPhearson of Jackson, Mississippi, Zelma McPhearson of Edwards, Mississippi, Sharon Lynn McPhearson of Raymond, Mississippi, Ossie Coleman of Rolling Fork, Mississippi; special aunt, Hattie Smith of Bolton, Mississippi, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
