Greg met the love of his life, Paulett Holmes in 1982, at WLBT Channel 3 News Station, while they were taping an episode of Black Gold, where the musical band " Freedom" was performing. Greg, a drummer for "Freedom", was mesmerized by the beauty of one of the Black Gold Dancers (Paulett). After years of dating, the drummer and the dancer were united in holy matrimony on August 25, 1984. the two became inseparable and loved each other more than anything in the world. He lived his mother so very much and did not have a problem letting everyone know that he was Gert's Baby.
