Constance J. Ashley (Connie) was born on March 15, 1932 in Orange, New Jersey, to Lonnie and Bertha Key. She departed this life on May 14, 2022. She was a member of Middlebrook United Methodist Church. Connie graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a BS in Biology. She worked as a medical technician in hospitals throughout Orange, New Jersey. She taught at Lyons Institute in Newark, New Jersey, for many years. She then went on to work as a research scientist for Hoffman La-Roche until she retired in 1994. She moved to Mississippi in 1997. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Lindberg Key, and two sisters, Lulu Mae Winston and Eunice Nelson. Connie leaves to mourn her passing: her daughter, Karen (Eddie) Lister, Jackson, Mississippi; her sons, Llyod (Barbara) Ashley, Jackson, Mississippi; and Howard (Iris) Ashley, Wayne, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Jeffery Carter Jr., Turkisha Ashley, Llyod Ashley Jr., Howard Ashley Jr., Tyler Ashley, and Jordan Ashley; great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
