Ms. Daisy B. Davis

Daisy Bell Davis was born on July 24, 1938, in Schlater (LefloreCounty), Mississippi, to the union of Willie Bell and Maggie Parker-Bell. Both parents preceded her in death. Daisy was the sixth child of eight children. Three sisters, Cora Lee Berry, Alice Polk, Perelene Berry-Epps and two brothers, Willie and Eddie Lee Bell preceded her in death.

Daisy received her early education in Yazoo County. Daisy married Archie Davis and to this union, one son, Donald Davis, was born. Later in life Daisy relocated to Chicago, Illinois where she first worked for Transo Envelope Company. She later opened a Bar-B-Que restaurant on the west side of Chicago. In August 2006 Daisy and her son Donald returned home to Mississippi to be closer to family. She remained there until her death.

On September 12, 2024, Daisy's journey concluded at Yazoo City Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Yazoo City, Mississippi. At the end of her journey, she leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Donald of Bentonia, Mississippi; one sister, Clara Walker and one brother, Walter (Hazel) Bell of Jackson, Mississippi; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
