Dessie Boyd, 63 of Jackson, MS, died November 19, 2016.Funeral Services will be held on Saturday November 26, 2016 at Willis and Sons Funeral Home, 5235 Robinson Road Ext., Jackson MS at 12:00 pm. Committal will be at Autumn Woods Memorial Gardens, Jackson, MS.Visitation will be Friday from 1:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Willis and Sons Funeral Home.

Dessie Boyd was born to the late Mr. Roosevelt Boyd and Mrs. Lillie Boyd on November 18, 1953 in rural Hinds County Mississippi.

Dessie accepted Christ at an early age while being raised by her grandparents, Mr. Alfred and Lillie Moore.

Dessie Boyd's journey came to an end on Saturday, November 19, 2016 while in hospice care.She was preceded in death by:her parents, Mr. Roosevelt and Mrs. Lillie Boyd; her only son, Dewayne Boyd; broter, J.W. Boyd and sisters, Mary Lucinda Moore, Mary Louise Boyd and Ruth Ann Boyd.

Dessie leaves to cherish her loving memories and carry on her legacy: one sister, Rosemary Abrons; brothers, Willie Boyd and Vincent Lamar Greene; her only grandchild, Dewayne Boyd; two great grandsons, Jayden J. Boyd and Jayceon Dewayne Boyd; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
