Earnestine Jones Bradley

Earnestine Jones Bradley , affectionately known as " Tine " or " Tina ," was born on April 19, 1965, in Yazoo County, Mississippi, to the late Elijah Jones, Sr. and Beulah Jean Bell. As the youngest of eight siblings, Tine grew up in a loving, close-knit family.

She began her academic journey at Linwood Elementary School and graduated as Valedictorian of Benton High School. Tine furthered her education at Hinds Community College, earning her Associate's Degree. She then pursued a Bachelor of Science in Professional Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master's Degree in Education with a concentration in Technology Education from Jackson State University. She was also a proud member of the Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society.

For over 25 years, Tine dedicated her career to the Mississippi Community College Board. Her passion for education and children led her to co-own and operate the Universal Learning Center, a daycare that served the community for many years. Tine was known for her loving and caring spirit, and she touched the lives of many with her kindness. She loved to travel, helped plan family gatherings, and cherished spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter.

Tine confessed Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age at Temple Love Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Earnest Deering.  In 1991, she was united in holy matrimony to Charles Bradley. Their union was blessed with two children. On Thursday, September 5, 2024, in Jackson, Mississippi, Tine peacefully transitioned from this life into the presence of her Heavenly Father.

Tine was preceded in death by her parents, Elijah Jones Sr. and Belulah Jean Bell. She leaves to cherish her memory: her devoted husband, Charles Bradley; her son, Chauncey Bradley of New Orleans, Louisiana; her daughter, Chelsea Bradley of Jackson, Mississippi; her bonus children, Kendetric (Gabrielle) Bradley of Jackson, Mississippi, and Chanise Bradley of Houston, Texas; her beloved granddaughter, Madison Bradley (and her mother Dominique Martin) of Houston, Texas; her sisters, Juanita Taylor of Seattle, Washington, Dartha Knight of Jackson, Mississippi, Lillie Carter of Benton, Mississippi, and Yvonne (Roosevelt) Grayer of Benton, Mississippi; her brothers, Elijah (Vera) Jones of Brandon, Mississippi, Carl (Bridgett) Jones of Fayette, North Carolina, Percy (Josephine) Jones of Jackson, Mississippi and her special cousin/sister Joyce (Nick) Foreman of Jackson, Mississippi. Tine also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends who will forever cherish her memory. Tine's life was a reflection of love, faith, and service to others. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
