Obituary

Emma Caston Simith also known as " Little Emma" or  "TeTe" was born on June 21, 1943 in Edwards, MS; to the late Emma Smith Hall and the late Tillman Caston.

Emma accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of the Kingsley Chapel United Methodist Church. She is a graduate of Southern Christian Institue (S.C.I.). She was on mother board at the church and a member of CHAN.

Emma met her soul mate the late Charles Burt Smith and to this union five children were born: Charles, Thomasene, Lillian, Willie Carl and Emmett.

Emma was employed with Cal-Maine and McCarty Foods; Tyson unitl her retirement. She was known for her smile and caring heart. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, niece, aunt, and great aunt. Emma enjoyed watching TV, traveling, talking on the phone, shopping, surfing the Internet, and spending time with family and friends.

On Tuesday morning, April 18, 2023, God called home one of Earth's most beloved Angels to forever become one of his Heavenly Angels.

Emma was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Kinney Grimes and Walter Jordan; sister, Maria Smith; daughters, Thomasene Caston and Lillian Caston; sons, Charles Caston and Willie Carl Caston; grandchild Kenisha Caston; and adopted god-mother Lois Flagg.

Emma will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She leaves to cherish her memories, a loving son, Emmett (Carolyn) Caston of Jackson, MS; sisters, Mary Moss of Edwards, MS; Carrie Carroll of Jackson, MS; and Joyce (Clifton) Harris of Omaha, Nebraska; daughter- in -law Connette Caston; nine grandchildren, Mayor LeKentric Caston, LaQuandra Caston, Domonika Caston, and Lashundra Marshall, all of Edwards, MS; Cordell Cason and Jerrichos Moore of Clinton, MS , Aviance Caston- Davis of Byram, MS; Charles Caston Jr. and Joydann' Caston of Canton, MS, fourteen great grandchildren; ( special nieces and nephew), Laura Moss- Brown, Shelia Kirkland, Pamela Dillon and Larry Moss, all Edwards, MS; god-daughter Gwendolyn (Anthony) Brown or Clinton, MS, god-brother Oscar (Linda) Laws of Utica, MS; and a host of other beloved relatives and friends.
