Mr. Freddie D. Jackson

Freddie D. Jackson of Hazlehurst, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2024, due to lung cancer. Born on July 23, 1949, Freddie spent his life rooted in his community and faith. He attended Bushy Creek Missionary Baptist in Georgetown, Mississippi and was a proud alumnus of Hazlehurst High School.

Freddie worked at Kowalski Print Plex as a Print Operator for over 30 years. He also worked with Karen's Printing for a few years before being diagnosed with Lung Cancer. Freddie was preceded in death by his parents, Louise B. Jackson and Charlie Jackson; his son, Freddie Jackson; and four brothers. Freddie is survived by his loving fiancé, Peggy Harris; his children, Corneshia Harris (Quintin Williams), Freddie Harris, and Katrina Smylie; his stepdaughters, Myiesha Harris, Alneshia Harris, and Yolanda Givens; his cherished grandchildren, Elijah Harris, Kinsley Williams, Caleb Price, Taylor Harris, Kevin Smylie, Kingson Smylie, and Charleston Smylie. He is also remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Freddie's warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for his family and friends will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
