Brother Glenn Wadley was born September 15, 1953, to the late Lewis Harris and the late Willie L. Wadley. He departed his on June 07, 2022, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, Mississippi. He was baptized at Champion Hill Baptist Church at an early age by Reverend M.K. Nelson. Later he moved his membership to Chapel Hill Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend Darryl Smoothers where, he attended church services regularly until his health began to decline in 2021.

Glenn attended Elementary and Junior High School in Edwards, Mississippi and Hinds County Agricultural High School in Utica, Mississippi Class of 1973. After graduating from High School, he continued his education at Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi, where he was awarded a scholarship to play football. Glenn also had the distinct pleasure of playing professional football with the Dallas Cowboys in Dallas, Texas for a short period of time.

On January 11, 1998, Glenn was united in holy matrimony to Linda Garrett Wadley. To this union, one child was born Belle Vion Wadley. Shortly after, Glenn became employed with the Mississippi State Highway Department, and he worked there for many years. After retiring, Glenn's hobbies consisted of collecting scrape irons and cars. Glenn also had a great passion for cooking. He was the BEST COUNTRY CAKE BAKER in Bolton, Mississippi. All of his cakes were made from scratch, "no box cakes". His cakes were so good, most of his family and friends gave him the nickname "The Cake Man". He also catered food for many special events and occasions.

He is survived by: his wife, Linda Garrett Wadley of Vicksburg, Mississippi; his only daughter, Belle V ion Wadley of Vicksburg, Mississippi; three sons, Quientin Kelly, Bolton, Mississippi, Glenn (Demictres) Barnes, Bolton, Mississippi and Jenario Button, Dallas, Texas; three brothers, Reverend Dr. Charles (Gloria) Wadley of Metairie, Louisiana, Luther Wadley of Bolton, Mississippi, and Dean Wadley of Jackson, Mississippi; one grandchild, Caleb Rashad Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Those who preceded him in death were his mother, father and grandparents.
