Ms. Gloria Jean Heard Wright was the sixth child of the late Ethelberth Heard. She was born August 12, 1960, in Hinds County, Mississippi. She departed this life on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at home in Clinton, Mississippi.

She accepted Christ at an early age and united with Mt. Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church in Bolton, Mississippi. She attended V.L. Rueben Elementary and Jr. High School in Bolton, Mississippi and Hinds Co A.H.S in Utica, Mississippi where she enjoyed running track and softball.
She was preceded in death by parents Ethelberth Heard and Willie Harris; brothers Leroy and Tyrone Heard and her maternal grandmother Ida Heard. Robbie Fisher and Jack Fisher, Betty L Harris, Jimmy and Sandra Harris, and Casey Watson.

She leaves to cherish loving memories: her devoted daughter, LaTanya Jordan (Michael); four grandchildren, Kayatta (Chamora), Kristarrio, Kireana and Carlton; bonus grandchildren, Mercedes, Manija and Akayla; one great grandson, Zy'Tavious; five sisters, Rubbie Thompson, Chicago, Illinois, Ethel Peyton (Isadore), Jackson, Mississippi, Jean Ella Heard, Bolton, Mississippi, Loretta Robinson (James), Bolton, Mississippi, and Arlene Heard, Jackson, Mississippi; two brothers, James Willie Heard, Bolton, Mississippi and Roger Heard (Barbara Faye), Bolton, Mississippi; Willie and Annie Harris, Gautier, Mississippi, Shirley Marshall , Bryam, Mississippi, Charles and Clara Harris Bolton, Mississippi, Phil and Loretha Harris, Bolton, Mississippi, Mildred Watson, Canton, Mississippi, Curtis Harris, Bolton, Mississippi, Rosie Harris, Bolton, Mississippi; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
