Mr. Gregory A. Webb Jr.
June 4, 1992- October 3, 2023
Gregory Allen Webb Jr. was born June 4, 1992, in Jackson, MS to Laquita F. and Gregory Allen Webb Sr. He was preceded in death by his brother, Craig Spiva, his grandfather, Willie M. Neal and his stepfather, Dave V. Thompson. Gregory grew up in Jackson, MS and Antioch, CA as a child. He later returned to Jackson, MS as a teenager. He was employed at Walmart, Sam's Club, Academy Sports and Circle K. In his spare time Gregory was an entrepreneur. Gregory love spending time with family and friends, he was a "Mama's Boy" and was always one call away. Gregory valued true friendship and was always there when you needed him. The smile that he wore on his face made us joke with him by saying "you look just like your daddy". Gregory had a pleasant spirit, so many people enjoyed being in his presence. He loved everyone differently, but you could always feel the love. If you knew Gregory, then you knew basketball was his sport. He loved the game of basketball on and off the court. You couldn't help but to noticed him standing 6'5. Gregory was a member of several basketball teams around the Jackson area. The last team he was part of was the Mississippi Knights where he wore the #12. Gregory was the proud father of one daughter, Jakeriya A. Webb, whom he loved dearly! She is the spitting image of him including his long skinny legs. Gregory leaves to cherish his memory: a mother, Laquita Thompson, a father, Gregory (Shelia) Webb Sr., one daughter, Jakeriya A. Webb, two sisters, Lashaundra R. Webb, & Dorotheia M. Webb, a grandmother, Dorothy L. Neal, four nieces, Breanna N. Webb, Brittany L. Webb, Carmen A. Webb, & Ava M. Mapson, five nephews, Jabari D. Webb, Jaden M. Webb, Camari J. Webb, Kingston J. Webb & Aden Q. Mapson, a special friend, Michaela Anderson, a bet friend, Monte "Tae" Crump, aunts, uncles, and a host of relatives and friends.
