Hubert Earl Lewis was born July 19, 1933, to Virgil and Florida Lewis. He was the tenth of eleven children and the last surviving sibling. His brothers- Melvin, Eugene, Kinney, Wallace, Fred, Rosco, Jack and sisters Estelle, Beatrice, and Jessielene preceded him in death.

He along with siblings, lived with their Aunt Roise in Lepanto, AR. He also lived in Louisville, MS and Jackson, MS. He worked in farming and brick making. He enjoyed going to church whenever possible.

Hubert had a feisty, opinionated personality and was not one to back down from a fight. In spite of the many obstacles, he faced in his life, he kept trying. Herbert was caring, generous and could make you laugh. We will miss him.
