Mr. James"Hilmo" Moss was born on September 11,1940 to the late Retha Moss and Mr. Percy Bland in Edwards, Mississippi. He departed this life on December 26,2017 at St. Dominic Hospital at the age of 77.

He joined Ratliff Chapel Church where he served as a member until his death. For a number of years he worked for Pennioker and Cal-Main Farms.

James was preceded in death by: his parents; four brothers; one sister; and one niece.

He leaves to cherish his memories: one son, Ashford Ray James of Gulfport, Mississippi; one loving and caring sister, Ms. Susie Mae Dupreeof Edwards, Mississippi; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; four nieces; Mary Ann (Charlie) James of Orange California, Barbara (Lionell) Wilson of Edwards, Mississippi, JoAnne (Kelvin) Thompson of Clinton, Mississippi and Priscilla (Darin) Hansend of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; three nephews, Jessie (Chaddy) Dupree of Edwards, Mississippi, Larry Dupree of Paramount, California and Tommy (Tracy) Dupree of Bolton, Mississippi; one long time close friend, William Irving; a very special friend, Bertha Thomas (Bert) and her children; and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
