Ms. Jennifer Gale

Jennifer was born on December 9, 1953, was the oldest of five children, born to the late Willie Gale and Annie Lois Harvey Gale of Jackson, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her father, brother, Eugene Shelby, and sister, Margaret O'Conner. Born into a family with strong Christian values, she confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized in her grandfather, Rufus Harvey's pond, at St. Mark Baptist Church, Clinton, Mississippi, where she remained faithful even until death.

Jennifer began her education in the Jackson Public School System. She went to Isabel Elementary School and graduated from Wingfield Hill High School. She continued her education by attending Mississippi College, Clinton, Mississippi, Jackson State University, Jackson, Mississippi, and American College of Design, Atlanta, Georgia, where she received her BS Degree.

Jennifer affectionately known as "Auntie Jenn" by nieces and nephews, was more than an aunt. She took on the role of "Nanny" to all of them, namely Brian, Kayden, Nora and Chris. She was a caretaker to these precious souls. She attended school events, especially every Grandparents Day, made her way to Kayden's first piano recital; she was the one to pick-up after school, she ran errands for the children, and she never failed to have pickles ready, their favorites. She made sure on Fridays she would be with Brian. She gave to her family "Self-less Love."

Jennifer will be remembered for her words of wisdom and love for people. She met no stranger and gave from her heart. She lived life to the fullest and was the life of the party and family. She traveled to places and did things most of us wouldn't dare. She traveled extensively to Africa,
Europe, and Italy. She lived in Houston, Texas, for about 5 years; later to Atlanta, Georgia for about 4 years; and then Los Angles, California for about 5 years. Her "infectious" smile was contagious. Her "philosophy" ideas could not be argued. She was a master seamstress who loved her craft.

Jeremiah 33:3 says "Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. Jennifer took God at His Word. She was sick and had a surgery; she called on God to let her live to see the age of 70. God heard Jennifer and showed her great and mighty things that she did not know. She turned 70 in December. GOD KEPT HIS PROMISE TO JENNIFER !

On Saturday, March 16, 2024, Jennifer received a long-awaited invitation she could not refuse. God dispatched two of his precious angels, Healing and Love to the Baptist Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi, to escort Jennifer to His kingdom where she was welcomed with open arms and these loving words, "Well done, good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many...enter now into the joy of the Lord." (Matthew 25:21)

Jennifer leaves to cherish her memory a loving and devoted mother, Annie Gale of Jackson, Mississippi; two brothers, Winston Gale and Bill Gale, Brandon, Mississippi; three sisters, Linda Lovelace, Chicago, Illinois, Brenda Gale and Nancy Gale, Jackson, Mississippi; Sister-n-law, Angie Shelby, Ridgeland, Mississippi; a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends.
