Mr. Barnes will be laid to rest Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Willis & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, Jackson, MS.His services will begin at 11:00 a.m.Committal will be at Garden Memorial Cemetery, Jackson, MS.Visitation will befrom 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with a family hour from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2015.

Mr. Barnes accepted Christ at a very early age and led a very devoted Christian life.He moved to Jackson from Hopewell in his early twenties where he met and married the late Bettie Jean Gray.

He leaves to cherish his memories:sons, Michael Barnes, Michelle Barnes (Cheryl), Kevin Barnes (Tootsie) and Keith Barnes ( Cassandra); daughters, Cecelia Barnes-Hazelwood (Glen), Shelia McInnis and Carolyn James.Mr. Barnes also leaves a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great grandchildren and friends.

He is preceded in death by:his wife; two sisters, Molene Pickering and Casoline Barnes; and two brothers, Whit Barnes and James Henry "Jimbo" Barnes.
