Mrs. Lillie Mae Ellis,funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Pleasant Green M. B. ChurchPocahontas, MS at 12:30 p.m.Visitation will be Friday, December 8, 2017from 1:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Willis and Sons Funeral Home 5235 Robinson Road Ext., Jackson MS. Interment at Church Cemetery.

On the afternoon of November 28,2017, surrounded by her loving family, Mother Ellis' name was called to eternal rest. Being the humble and faithful servant that she was, she answered and finished her journey here on earth and went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Ms. Lillie Mae Williams was the youngest of sixteen children born on August 25, 1923 to the late Mr. James and Mrs. Rosanna States Williams in Flora, Mississippi.

Having confessed Christ at an early age, Mother Ellis began working in the vineyard at Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Gold Coleman. She was a faithful member of the Senior Choir, Sunday School Class #8 and the Mother's Board until her health began to fail.

Mother Ellis was loved and respected by everyone who knew her and she will truly be missed by her family and many friends, especially for her love for cooking.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; siblings; three sons, Mr. Eugene Ellis, Mr. Guy J. Ellis and Mr. James L. Ellis; two grandchildren, Mr. Eric Horn and Mr. Guy Horn; a granddaughter, Ms. Beverly Ellis; and a son-in-law, Mr. L.C. Bratton, Sr.

Mother Ellis leaves behind many loved ones, all who celebrate with her this glorious transition, this wondrous opportunity to be with the Lord. The celebrants include: three loving and devoted daughters, Mrs. Birdie M. Bratton, Mrs. Lillie B. Anderson (P.J.) and Mrs. Beatrice E. Price (Eddie, Jr.); fifteen grandchildren, Johnny Earl (Evelyn), Reginald, Patricia Ann, Carolyn, L.C. Jr. (Monica), Angela (Steve), James Anthony (LaShonda), Robert, Oree, Lillian and Eddie, III, all of Jackson, Mississippi, Alliana (Anthony) of St. Petesburg, Florida, Anya, of Chicago, Illinois, and Marcell, of Birmingham, Alabama; thirty-eight great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Mr. Robert Ellis (Hazel); one sister-in-law, Mrs. Ruby (Cleo) Love; a special niece and nephew, Mrs. Ida Robinson (Moses,Sr.), Rock Island, Illinois and Mr, Nathan Williams, of Jackson, Mississippi; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
