Ms. Lonnie Mae Lynn

Lonnie Mae Lynn was born on January 20, 1947, in Pearson of Raking County to the late Edgar C. Lynn and Lonnie Mae Lynn. Her transformation from this earthly life occurred on August 11, 2024. She was the family's seventh child, cherished, and the youngest member. Lonnie had five siblings. Nettie Stuckey, Edgar C. Lynn Jr.; James Lynn, Dorothy Lynn, and Katie Lynn, these preceded her in death. She leaves behind one sister, Sadie Williams of Jackson, MS and her special cousin, Pearlie Calendar of Flowood, MS, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Lonnie attended Carter High School in Brandon, MS. She did not complete her education, yet she was able to grasp many life skills. She lost her ability to work and became disabled at the age of 22. She devoted her entire life to raising her children and grandchildren, thus ensuring their happiness.

During her stay on Earth, she was a joyful person. Her door was always open to whoever needed a helping hand, sharing whatever God had blessed her with. Holidays were one of her most joyous moments, preparing and cooking meals for family and friends.

Lonnie had three children with Otis Dear: Pearlie (Walter) Smith of Clinton, MS; Sammie (Krystal 'predeceased') Lynn of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Nanette Lynn of McKinney, TX, these she leaves behind to treasure her priceless memories. In addition, her grandchildren: Daven Stevenson; Donaven Stevenson, and Daylen Green; Joanna Smith-Redd; Joshua Smith; Joya Smith; Joseph Smith; Alexis Smith; Briana Smith; Quintin Ferguson; and Josiah Carter; two great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Walter Smith and Larynz Redd Jr.

Lonnie was the foundation that kept them together. She imparted these life lessons to her children and grandchildren:                                             - Love one another - Never hold one another in low regard - Always be there to support one another

She never wavered in her belief that God was her personal Savior.
