Ms. Louise Price
Louise Price was born September 27, 1951, in Edwards, Mississippi to the late Judge Price, Sr. and Lucille West Price. She departed this life on Friday, June 28, 2024. Louise confessed Jesus Christ at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church. She served as church treasurer for fifty plus years. She attended Edwards Elementary through Edwards Jr. High to Hinds A.H.S., Utica Jr. College, Utica, Mississippi, Alcorn State University where she received her B.S and then Jackson State University from where she received her Master's Degree.
Louise Price taught at Lovett and Eastside Elementaries for thirty-five plus years and she was also an Adult Education teacher and Sunday school teacher at Mt. Moriah Church. She raised as her own children, Patrick, Jalen, Jireh, Zabe and Alisha Price. She helped educate many of her nieces and nephews. Louise was an active member of the Ebony Ladies and Magnificent Eight Social/Friendship Clubs and an avid supporter of 1969 class reunions.

Louise
exchanged her life of labor for that of a life of reward. Awaiting the great reunion in Heaven are: her father and mother, Judge Price, Sr. and Lucille Price; three brothers, Percy C. Price, Judge Price, Jr. and Ulysses Singleton; and two sisters, Beatrice Lewis and Ozie Price Turner. She leaves to cherish her memories: three sisters, Helen Mosley (the late Howard Mosley, Jr.), Champaign, Illinois, Margie Ruth Williams (Rufus), Edwards, Mississippi and Stella Price of Oak Park, Michigan; two brothers, Earnest Price (Lola), Detroit, Michigan and James Calvin Price (Shirley R.) of Edwards, Mississippi; a foster brother, John Singleton (Marcelline), Vicksburg, Mississippi; and a host of nieces, nephews, great niece, nephews, other relatives and friend.
