Hardaman, Mary Handy, age 89, died Tuesday, May 16, 2017 in Jackson, Mississippi. Funeral arrangements have been scheduled; Public Visitation, Monday, May 22, 2017 at Willis & Son's Funeral Home 5235 Robinson Road Ext., Jackson, Mississippi, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Funeral services scheduled for Monday at 11:00 a.m., May 22, 2017 at Willis & Son's Funeral Home.



Mrs. Mary Alice Hardaman was born, December 24, 1926, in Morton, Mississipp. She completed her earthly journey May 16,2017 at the Baptist Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi.

Mary grew up in Scott County. She moved to Chicago and finished high school. She continued her education by enrolling in Business School in the Chicago are. She was the manage of her daughter's business (Charlene's Beauty Supply) and a private sitter for many years.

She was baptized at an early age in Scott County. While in Chicago she became a member of Progressive Church and sang in the choir. After moving to Jackson, she became affiliated with St. Luther M. B. Church.

She was a life time member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW post 9832.

Her husband, Richard Hardaman, and three children, Joe L, Essie Louise, and Joel McLaurin, preceded her in death.

She leaves to mourn her passing: three sons, George McLaurin, Lawrence Hatcher and Charles O'Quinn; grandchildren, nieces and nephews other relative and friends.
