Ms. Monger will be laid to rest Friday, October 9, 2015 at Willis and Sons Funeral Home, Jackson, MS.Her services will begin at 1:00 p.m.Committal will be at Wilson Cemetery on 49N, Jackson, MS.Visitation will be Thursday, October 8, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Mattie Mae (Dillard Sanders) Monger was born January 28, 1924 to the late Simp and Ora Dillard in Simpson County, Mississippi.She departed this life on Friday, October 2ndat6:30 a.m. at Magnolia Senior Care Home.
Mattie Mae joined China Grove Missionary Baptist Church at an early age where she also received her education.She was a bus driver for many years with Hinds County Schools and also worked at Hinds County Head Start.
Mattie Mae married George Sanders who preceded her in death.Three children were born to this union.Mattie Mae latter married Louis Richard Monger who also preceded her in death.Two children were born to this union.Mattie Mae moved her family to Los Angeles, California where she lived for many years.She returned to Mississippi and joined New Jerusalem under the leadership of Reverend Elbert Willis where she served as a faithful member until her health failed.Two children, Geneva Sanders and Lee Varn Sanders and three grandchildren preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memories:two sons, Robert (Mary) Sanders of Jackson, Mississippi and Richard (Vera) Monger of Los Angeles, California; one daughter, Mamie (Evan) Fennell of Whittier, California; one very special daughter-in-law, Annette Sander of Raymond, Mississippi; one sister, Luevertie Adams of Jackson, Mississippi; 20 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 10 great, great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
