Minister Booker Timothy Rodgers , 54 of Jackson, Mississippi, passed away on November 27, 2023. He was born May 15, 1969, in Jackson, Mississippi to the late Booker T. Collins and Lillian Rodgers Collins. He was the second child of 4 children.

Booker accepted Christ and was baptized at a young age and joined Victory Metropolitan under the leadership of Pastor Berry. At the time of his death, he was a member of New Beginnings Christian Life Center under the leadership of Bishop Kevin E. Wright. He loved singing God's Praises and did so until he was no longer able.

Booker attended Lanier High School. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1996. After serving, he attended Tougaloo College with a major in Psychology and a minor in Music. His work career included driving trucks and furniture moving.

Booker met and married Natasha Powell, who remained his faithful, dedicated caregiver until his demise. They moved to Texas, prior to relocating to Jackson, Mississippi.

Booker is preceded in death by his father, Booker T. Collins and a brother, Horace Rodgers. Booker leaves to cherish his memories: his loving and devoted wife, Natasha Rodgers of Bolton, Mississippi; daughters, Naomi Rodgers and Titiyana Rodgers (both of Virginia); son, Joey Rodgers, Omaha, Nebraska; his dear mother, Lillian Collins, Jackson, Mississippi; sisters, Charlene Roberson (Jerome), Brookhaven, Mississippi; Bertha Lott (Chris), Brandon, Mississippi; brother, George Collins, Clinton, Mississippi; special uncle, Sherman Bell, mother-in-law, Vera Powell; father-in-law, Bobby Powell, Jr., sister-in-law, Bridget Powell; and a host of cousins, aunt, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
