Mr. Robert Harris

Mr. Robert Lee Harris was born on March 7, 1941, to the late Dock and Callie Greer Harris in Vaughan, Mississippi.

Robert attended Mt. Zion School in Vaughan, Mississippi. He accepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age. Robert attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Later in life he became one of Jehovah's witnesses. He attended Kingdom Hall (Queens).

Robert was one of many talents. He loved gardening, carpentry work, landscaping and helping people. He also loved cooking different types of food.

Robert passed on December 12, 2024, at home. His parents, Dock and Callie Greer Harris, two sisters, Emma Harris and Earlean Harris, and five brothers, W.C. Hewitt, Roosevelt Harris, Melvin Harris, Burton Harris and Lee Andrew Harris, and one son, Robert Harris, Jr., all preceded him in death.

Robert leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Ira Bell Harris of Jackson, Mississippi; four daughters, Doris Barnes, Pickens, Mississippi, Ivory Harris, Shelia Terry and Annie Southern, all of Jackson, Mississippi; one sister, Agnes Harris of Jackson, Mississippi; one brother, Dock Harris of Cold Water, Mississippi; eleven grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
