Wright, Myrtis Marie, age 79 died Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Merit Health Central in Jackson, Mississippi. Funeral arrangements have been scheduled Public Visitation Friday, June 2, 2017 at Willis & Son's Funeral Home, 5235 Robinson Road Ext., Jackson, Mississippi. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 3894 Middle Road, Edwards, Mississippi. at 11:00 a.m.

Myrtis Marie Turner Wright, a gentle, kind, loving and dedicated Christian woman departed this life on Tuesday May 23, 2017 at Merit Health Central. She was born to the late George and Gertrude Andrews Turner on April 15, 1938 in Edwards, Mississippi. She accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age and was baptized at Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church. She was educated in the Hinds County Public School System.

Myrtis met and married Leroy Wright, Sr. They moved to Vicksburg, Mississippi and lived there a number of years with her son, Henry Moore. Later, God blesses their union with the birth of a daughter Rose Lee, and another son, Leroy, Jr. The family moved to Chicago, Illinois and lived there for a number of years before returning to Edwards, Mississippi.

On May 23, 2017, Myrtis went to wait on the promises of God alone with her husband, Leroy, Rose Lee, Elonda and Gregory who all preceded her in death.

Myrtis leaves loving memories to be cherished by: her sons, Henry William Moore and Leroy Wright, Jr.; a special granddaughter, Yolanda Wright; grandsons, Steven, Timothy, and Trent; granddaughters, Kierstien and Shanel; great-grandchildren, Le'Varius, Keunte, Keyvokian, Steven, Jr., Angel Kreshuna, Bryston, Jalonnie, and McKenzie; great-great grandchildren, Hailey and Harmony; and a host of other relatives and friends.
