Mr. Nathaniel James

Nathaniel James , affectionately known as "Doan/Pump" by his children, was born to the late Robert and Eliza James. Three children preceded him in death, Gloria James, Nathaniel James, Jr. and Anthony James. He also preceding him in death are two brothers, Lee Samuel James, Sr. and Robert James; and two sisters, Annette McIntyre and Elmyra Ross.

Nathaniel confessed his life to Christ at an early age and became a member of Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Nathaniel devoted his life working as a construction worker to provide for his family. Nathaniel loved his family, friends and church family.

Nathaniel leaves to cherish his memory: a loving wife of 59 years, Georgia James; six loving and devoted children; four daughters, Loria James, Ella James, Demetric James and Pamela James, all of Jackson, Mississippi, and two sons, Roosevelt (Beverly) James of Camden, Mississippi and Akilla James of Jackson, Mississippi; 28 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Eddie James, Sr., Tommie (Bobbi Jean) James and Willie James, Sr.; and a multitude of sisters-in- law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends.
