Ms. Thomasine Smith
Thomasine Smith was born March 3, 1941, to the late Myrtle and Lonnie Smith in Houston, MS. On November 8, 2023, the Lord added another beautiful flower to his garden. Thomasine accepted Christ at an early age at Second Baptist Church in Houston, MS. Later she moved her membership to Zion Travelers M.B. Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Daniel Watkins. Five years ago, her son Willie Jr. began pastoring at Evergreen M.B. Church where she moved her membership to support Willie Jr as pastor. She would often say "I have two pastors". She never met a stranger and made a huge impact on everyone she encountered. Mama Smith was a mama and grandmama to everyone.
She was preceded in death by her parents Myrtle Hill Smith and Lonnie Smith; her husband Willie B. Smith, her four sisters Betty Williams, Shirley May, Jeannie Alexander, Vicky Randle; two brothers Eddie Smith, Walter Smith; one granddaughter Taylor J. Smith.
