Valorie Gray Walls was born October 4, 1950, in Clarksdale, Mississippi, to Clara Gray and the late Anderson Gray.She was one of five children, two of whom preceded her in death:Aubrey Gray and Ola Mae Gray.She completed her earthly journey on Sunday, April 16, 2017.

Valorie accepted Christ at an early age and joined Greater Centennial Baptist Church in Clarksdale, Mississippi.After moving to Jackson she became a member of Mt. Pleasant MB Church she served faithfully as a deaconess and President of the Kitchen Ministry.

She attended Jackson State University where she met the love of her life, the late David Walls, Jr.To this union, three daughters were born.

Valorie worked for Bellsouth Communication and retired after nearly 30 years of service.

Valorie leaves to cherish her memory:her mother, Clara Gray; three daughters, Carla Walls-Key (Neal) of Abbeville, Mississippi, Davita Walls-Weary of Ridgeland, Mississippi, and Valencia Walls of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; sisters, Verna Gray of Clarksdale, Mississippi, and Earlene Pierce of Chicago, Illinois; six grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews, two of whom were like sons she never had, Marcus Gray and Torrey Walls; other relatives and friends.
