Obituary

Verdisel Stamps was born December 9, 1945, in Edwards, Mississippi. He was the beloved son of the late Allison and Leora Stamps.
On Sunday evening, August 14, 2022, Verdisel departed this life for his Father's Heavenly Home. During his youth, Verdisel joined Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Learned, Mississippi, where he served God along with his family and friends. He liked to sing in the choir with his brothers and later in life he became a loyal and dedicated Deacon at Morning Star for many years until his illness. He enjoyed the country life, especially riding horses. He was very creative, with designing and making his own toys. If they didn't work, he would have 'Brother", whom he called his partner, to fix it for him. Verdisel graduated from Utica Institute in Utica, Mississippi in 1967. He would then go to Utica Jr. College and take up Barbering. He was employed for over 30 years at Gulf State Canner (Coke-Cola, Inc.) in Clinton, Mississippi. He loved to watch sports, especially his Lakers and his Packers.
