Virginia Earl Wright

Virginia Earl Wright was born, March 21, 1936, in Hinds County, Mississippi, to Samuel and Beatrice Crowder. Virginia confessed Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Chruch of Edwards, Mississippi. She moved to Flint, Michigan and joined Golden Leaf Church. Upon moving back home to Mississippi, she moved her membership to Greater Tree of Life and then she joined Greater New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church of Jackson where she remained a member until her death.

Virginia attended Edwards Jr. High School, SCI (Southern Christian Institute) of Edwards, Mississippi and Utica Institute. She furthered her studies and obtained her nursing degree with the Michigan Board of Nursing, State of Michigan. Virginia was employed by Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Michigan until retirement. Virginia was untied in holy Matrimony with U.L. Wright. She was preceded in death by: her husband U.L. Wright; her parents, Samuel and Beatrice Crowder; son, Paul Williams; siblings, Howard, Rosetta, Robert, J.W., Beatrice and Willie Ruth.

Virginia leaves to cherish her precious memories: two goddaughters, Beatrice Crowder of Flint, Michigan and Cabrini Cooper of Jackson, Mississippi; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Williams of Grand Rapids, Michigan; three sisters, Carrie (Allen) Baity and Gladys Anderson, both of Edwards, Mississippi and Dorothy (Lloyd) Smith of Jackson, Mississippi; brother-in-law, Ulysses (Warnella) Wright of Saginaw, Michigan; four grandchildren; 15 great- grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; a special niece, Angela Booze of Jackson, Mississippi; and a dear friend, Julia Manning of Utica, Mississippi.
