Johnson, Sr., Willie James, age 60 of Lena, MS., died May 29, 2016 at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Rising Chapel MB Church Hwy 13 N, Lena, MS at 1:00 pm. Visitation will be Friday at Willis and Sons Funeral Home 5235 Robinson Road Ext, in Jackson, MS
from 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm.

Willie was the fifth son of Glover and Rena Johnson, Sr.

Willie was a graduate of the 1974 class of South Leake High School.He was employed with B.C. Rogers before becoming employed with Tyson Foods where he worked until his health failed him.

Willie was preceded in death by: his parents, Glover Johnson, Sr. and Rena Ragsdale Johnson; siblings, Edward Johnson, Eudie Lou Wright, John L. Hoye (Effie), and Glover Johnson, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory:a loving wife, Delphine, who he married on July 4, 1979; his children, Latoya Johnson (Isaac Bullock) Jackson, Felicia Parker (Erick), and Willie J. Johnson, Jr., all of Lena, Mississippi and Trina Lewis; seven grandchildren, (one special grandson, Calvin McClendon);siblings, Eddie Hoye of Canton, Mississippi, Addie Carter of Lena, Mississippi, Stevenson Johnson, Lena, Mississippi, Annie Mays of Kansas City, Missouri and Reverend Jerry Johnson (Kat) of Lena, Mississippi; two aunts, Essie Crisler and Mertis Atkins ( his adopted mother); a loving mother-in-law that stood by his side, Mother Annie Ruth Hart and Carlton Hart both of Lena, Mississippi; and a host of cousins, other family members and friends.
