Willie James Jones" Skip" was born October 20, 1945 in Raymond, MS to the late A.C. Jones and Earnest Colossie Bishop Jones.  Willie James Jones joined the Marine Corp at the age of 23 years old on October 1, 1968, were  he served and received several honors such as the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 1 Star, the Rifle Marksman Badge, and Vietnam Campaign Medal with device. Willie James Jones continue serving his country by joining the United States Army on October 2, 1970, until April 27, 1984, where he was discharge honorably.

Willie leaves to cherish his memories his wife Vonnie Bell Jones and his daughters Alice (Ivory) Lee of Jackson, MS, Colossie (Marcus) Hillburton of Indianapolis, IN and Kimberly Williams of Peoria, Illinois.  His beloved grandchildren Khedra (Steve) Rutledge of Byram, MS and Teri Collier of Clarksville, TN. Simone (Jay) Bacon of Indianapolis, IN and Christopher Thompson of Indianapolis, IN. Phillip Wilson, Willie Perry, Jerell Wilson, Jesse Wilson, Timrick Wilson, and Atyona Course of Peoria, Illinois. His sister Dr. Roise Robinson of San Diego, California and his brothers Joseph Jones of Biloxi, MS and Albert (Marie) Jones of Jackson, MS. A host of nieces, nephews and his 6 great children.

He is perceived in death by his daughter ShaNique M. Jones and his siblings Percy Jones, Mary Dotson, Joddie Robinson, Stella Black, and Sallie Jones Spink.
