Willie (Pete) James Hill, Jr. was born June 17, 1957, to the late Mr. Willie James Hill, Sr. and Mrs. Maggie Mae Hodge Hill in Edwards, Mississippi. Willie transitioned from labor to reward at home, on Sunday, October 16, 2022, at 65 years young. He was preceded in death by his brother Larry Neal and sister Alma Dean Smith.

Willie attended Edwards Junior High School in Edwards, Mississippi and graduated from Hinds County Agricultural High School in Utica,
Mississippi. He later attended Utica Junior College, where he received his welding certification. He then worked as a welder for over 20 years
and various jobs afterwards. Willie accepted Christ as his personal Savior at a very young age at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Edwards, Mississippi, under the leadership of the late Reverend Elzie O'Neal.

He leaves to cherish his memories: one daughter Erica (Zeddie) Billue; two grandchildren Eryia Irving & Deonza Irving; two great-grandchildren Deontae Thomas & Mariah Irving; one brother Alonzo Hill of Edwards, MS; one sister Juanita Hill Pritchard of Jackson, Mississippi; one sister-in-law Betty Neal of Edwards, Mississippi; one brother-in- law Lawrence Smith of Roebuck, South Carolina. He has a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family that he will be missed by greatly.
