Zanya was born August 7, 2008, to her parents Terry Cotton-Brown and Donnie Johnson. Zanya was an amazing young lady who embraced the joy and happiness of her family. Her infectious smile could light up any room as well as her radiant personality carried the beauty of who she was and her sweet spirit. She was smart, happy, and always energetic. In her leisure time, she enjoyed praise dancing, cheer, volleyball, and being competitive. She would have been a freshman at Forest Hill High School. She departed from this earthly life on Friday, July 26, 2024. Zanya was preceded in death by both her maternal grandparents George and Ruth Cotton, as well as her paternal grandparents, Fred and Katherine Johnson-Stubbs.

She Leaves her fondest memories to her mother and bonus dad Terry L. Cotton-Brown (Frank), her father and bonus mom Donnie (Yolanda) Johnson. Her sister, Zaria Cotton. Her uncles Augusta Marshall. Ralph (Rosalie) Houston, Berry Cotton. Her aunt, Cathy Houston and great aunt Dorothy Almond and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
